On Sunday 4th of April, 8 local residents set out with former Fishguard resident Dave Howell to support and raise funds for us by walking from Stumble Head to Porthgain. The 18 mile trek took them under seven hours and was part of Dave Howell’s training schedule. They raised a small fortune.

The group stopped at Abermawr and Abercastle where refreshments were laid on and supplied by Idwal Owen (Fishguard FADS) and local business RLH Architectural Design Solutions. The fundraiser was also supported and attended by Wendy Burge from Barclays Bank Haverfordwest.
Dave Howell was overwhelmed by the support from friends and family, especially the local community and businesses and can not thank them enough for everything they did to make this charity event such a success! The Pembrokeshire coastline is breath taking and I only wish I'd spent more time exploring it when I lived here!

Penarth Pier to the Pub!

Join us on the last leg of our walk. Staff have been walking our beautiful Heritage Coast. The last leg will be a fancy dress parade en route to 'The Bear's Head' who are holding a fun day for us. We're meeting at the end of the pier at Mid-day on Saturday, 10th. April. Fancy dress competition to be held for youngsters and grown ups.

Quiz night at the 'Old Pens'

Thanks to all the Parents, friends and staff for attending the quiz. We raised a whopping £200, thanks to some very generous donations. The Clever Trevors came out top tonight with 'ooh, I smell a fox' a close second.

The next quiz will be on Wednesday 21st. April, at the 'Old Pens' again.

A distinct lack of available men meant that our Speed-dating evening transformed into an impromptu quiz. Thanks to everyone for coming. The Kingston Clan were victorious proving themselves to be kings and queens of the anagram. Dave Jenkins found his new forte as Quiz Master and we raised £195. Staff lunch time treat!

Every Thursday staff at Ashgrove are being treated to delicious hot rolls. Bacon, Sausage and veggie burger, for the bargain price of £2 & £2.50. S7 are working as a well oiled machine to make around 45-50 rolls every Thursday. All profits from this are going straight to the Killi fund. In March staff will also be able to have a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate with there rolls for the bargain price of 50p.

Glamorgan Heritage Coast

A fantastic time was had by all on the first leg of our journey from Porthcawl to Barry. It was a great turn out with visiting sunshine to boot. Thanks for coming along everyone!

The next legs of the journey take place on Saturday, 6th. (Ogmore to Llantwit Major) and Sunday, 21st. February, (Llantwit Major to Barry Island). You are more than welcome to join us. Please e-mail Sharon on toowittwoo@hotmail.co.uk. Transport can be provided to make the one way journey possible. An earlystart will ensure that we still enjoy the kick off for the six nations (Wales England 5pm)

Today 18/01/10, we had replies to our raffle letters. We have received three great prizes, we have had a £50 voucher from the Glendale Hotel. We have four £5 vouchers for McDonalds and we have a cut and blow dry from Creative Concept Salon. A big thanks to these companies!

Bottle Bags

After the Christmas concert, we had a bottle bag stall. The bottles were varied, maybe single malt whisky or malt vinegar! All bottles were kindly donated. £27 raised.

Christmas Art Work Sale

After the Christmas concerts, a one of a kind piece of art work from each child in primary and secondary, was available for parents to buy. After all the hard work from the children for their art work and the staff of S7 for there impressive framing skills, £200 was raised for the ultimate sensory playground. Thanks to all the parents that supported us with this.
